This year's conference

This year's conference will take place at Hutchesons’ Grammar School, Glasgow led by Valerie Alderson and her team during the half-term weekend, Friday 30 May – Sunday 1 June 2014. As usual you can expect a fabulous range of professional workshops, breakout sessions, social events and special guests.

The conference will commence on Friday afternoon at 3.30pm, with registration with refreshments until 4.30pm. This will be followed by a buffet meal and a visit to a production in one of Glasgow’s vibrant theatres.

The proposed workshops on Saturday will provide a broad range of options.

Saturday evening will offer you the opportunity to join us to celebrate the very best of Scottish hospitality and entertainment. There will be a whisky demonstration and tasting session, and the evening will then continue with a black-tie dinner.

Proceedings begin with the piping-in of the haggis (vegetarian option available). The “chieftain o’ the puddin’ race” will be traditionally addressed with the words from the Bard. This will be followed by the finest of Scottish fare cooked on site by our chefs. There will then follow a full ceilidh, including the best of musicians and a caller to help you through the dance steps.
