This year's conference will take place at Queen's College, Taunton, led by Steve Eaton Evans and his team from 8th till 10th June 2012. As usual you can expect a fabulous range of professional workshops, breakout sessions, social events and special guests in the wonderful grounds of the Queen's College.

The conference this year has something for all tastes but has a slight leaning towards comedy. Special guests include 'punslinger' Tim Vine (BBC's Not Going Out), Bristol Old Vic and John Wright (Told by an Idiot/Acting without Bullshit) as well as Edinburgh smash-hit Spymonkey. We have also acquired the services of some of the country's best technical practitioners. Experts from Stagefight are back by popular demand to lead some armed combat workshops. The Course Director of Somerset College's BA in Media Make-up will be supplying some much needed advice on Make-up for your School Play. Lighting training with an emphasis on new lighting and sound technology will be provided by Stage-Electrics.

Since I last communicated I have also acquired the services of Hollywood actor Rupert Evans (Hellboy, Sons and Lovers ITV, Romeo RSC, The Palace ITV etc). As an ex-pupil of mine I have managed to persuade him to give us a master-class and perhaps the benefit of some advice on training etc. I am working on a very special guest for the Sunday morning interview slot but I can't reveal the identity yet until I'm 100% sure! Accommodation is available on-site for the cash-strapped amongst you with the first ever CAMPING OPTION (£10 for the weekend).

For those who need the comfort of a bed I have made a special arrangement with The Cornerhouse Hotel, Taunton. This is a stone's throw from the College. Quote: NISDA. Tel: 01823 284683, Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
